God loves you. (Jn 3:16; 1 Jn 4:19) But, God is good and just. We are not. (Rom 3:10-18) God does not cause and will not tolerate evil. (Ps 5:4-6) We cause evil. We have all been lured by our own evil desires and chose to sin. (Jam 1:13-15) All sin is evil to God. (Rom 3:23) If we don't pay in this life, we will all die once and be judged for the evil we commit. (Heb 9:27) Being a good judge, God must punish those who commit evil. (Rom 6:23) That punishment is a second death being thrown into the lake of fire. (Rev 21:8) But God loves you and me so much that He would rather die Himself than live without us for eternity. (Rom 5:8) Jesus (God the Son) paid the punishment for our evil… the Great Exchange. (2 Cor 5:21) Would you like to be saved this second death and not have to pay for your own sins? This may sound too simple. (1 Cor 1:18) But simply repent (turn away) from your sins (Acts 3:19), confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, and you will be saved. (Rom 10:9-10) Congratulations! The angels are rejoicing! (Luke 15:10) Now go and sin no more. (Jn 5:14) Stay "in Christ" and know you have eternal life! (1 Jn 5:13) You are a new creation! (2 Cor 5:17)
